LUPUS - CATATONIA
LUPUS - CATATONIA
LUPUS:
Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body areas including your joints, skin, blood cells, and multiple organs.
Lupus and its treatments can impair mental and emotional health.
Neuropsychiatric lupus affects 80-90% of people with lupus.Neuropsychiatric lupus describes feelings of depression, headaches, and lupus fog - trouble thinking or remembering due to lupus.25% of lupus patients experience major depression and 37% have major anxiety, research shows.Pain, fatigue, and other symptoms of lupus can make it hard to work, socialize or do things you enjoy.
The disease affects one in one-hundred-eighty-five Americans and ten to fifteen times more adult women than men.
Because of its anti-inflammatory and immune modulating actions, MSM does not cure lupus, but it is an effective treatment without the side effect of cortisone, the most common medicine used. MSM has demonstrated improved kidney function when taken as a nutritional supplement. One clinical case from Dr. Jacob’s book is reported below.
It is suggested to take 4,000 to 8,000 mg of MSM daily in the form of crystals or capsules. Start with the smaller dose and increase gradually by taking the MSM dose divided in two to three portions a day. Just increase the MSM daily dose to the level of life you want. Because MSM is known to increase energy level, try not to take it near bedtime.
One can also use our 15% MSM therapeutic massaging gel to help eliminate the inflammation in the joints. Dr. Jacob highly recommended using both the MSM nutritional supplement and the MSM topical application.
CATATONIA:
Catatonia is a complex neuropsychiatric behavioral syndrome that is characterized by abnormal movements, immobility, abnormal behaviors, and withdrawal. It can be associated with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses.
Recent studies have found that many patients affected by catatonia also have lupus which was attacking their brain.
Scientists around the world, including Germany and Britain, are conducting similar research, finding that underlying autoimmune and inflammatory processes may be more common in patients with a variety of psychiatric syndromes than previously believed.
Again, it comes back to what we already saw earlier on this website, all these scientists from around the world should just look at what has already been published by some of their peers:
In his book Mental and Elemental Nutrients “A Physician’s Guide to Nutrition and Health,” published in 1976, Carl Pfeiffer, Ph.D., M.D., mentioned two particularly important statements along with others:
1.- Sulfur is the "forgotten essential element."2.- It is too bad that the use of supplements for mental health has not been supported by mainstream medicine.
In a 1995 analysis of nutritional and metabolic data by Jon B. Pangborn, Ph.D., a well-known nutritional biochemist found that the metabolism of methionine was the "most frequently impaired or disordered amino acid" among 1,500 individuals with food and chemical intolerances, degenerative diseases, neuromuscular dysfunction, and mental diseases.
We already saw that scientific studies have shown that a small amount of MSM is converted into methionine in the body.
The medical field should change their way of thinking about nutritional supplements and provide these patients with an added amount of sulfur nutritional supplement needed by their body without drug side effects. If this added safe treatment option does not help, then they can keep their other course of treatment.
Notice: Every time you use the MSM therapeutic topical gel, make sure your hands and the massaged area are clean because the MSM penetrates the skin, and one does not want to infect the skin with dirt. Also make sure that you rub the MSM gel in until your hands and the massaged area are completely dry to avoid the MSM crystals staying on top of your skin when the gel’s water evaporates. The demineralized water-based gel contains 15% MSM, which is the maximum to avoid crystallization. So, to prevent the MSM from crystallizing in the MSM gel bottle, do not forget to close the MSM gel bottle lid after use.
The book “The Miracle of MSM” reports the following testimonial and more:
In 1985, after the delivery of twin girls, a lady from Carlton, Oregon, suffered a strep infection and severe rheumatic fever. She was later diagnosed with Lupus and myofibrositis, an inflammation of muscle tissue.
She became incapacitated to the point that she could not care for her four children. She was on antibiotics and high doses of cortisone and could barely sleep. One physician gave her one year to live.
In 1987, a friend of hers who had been treated by Dr. Jacob told her to make an appointment to see if he can help her condition.
She made an appointment and Dr. Jacob gave her some MSM crystals and advised her on the recommended dosage. Having been through so many different other medical people, she did not have much confidence in the crystals. She left the crystals container unopened for a few weeks.
She ended up opening the MSM container and took 14,000 mg/three times a day. However, she did not like the taste of it, so she decided to encapsulate the crystals to take capsules instead.
Within ten days, she experienced what she called "a miracle" as the pain and the fatigue started to decrease dramatically.
It did not take long that she was pain free and she has been since.
